Waterloo - A Gentle Walk + Views of the City

Waterloo Bridge - a Gentle Walk with Views towards The City

This magnificent bridge was built during World War II using mainly female labour as all the men were away fighting the war. The view from the bridge looking towards the City of London (the Central Business District) is world famous. You reach it by walking from either Embankment or Temple tube stations and going up the stairs to cross the bridge.

In the distance you can see such iconic buildings as St Paul's Cathedral, Tower 42 and St. Bride's Church.  River boats fly up and down carrying the tourists along the Thames from Westminster to the Tower and beyond.

Nearest Tube station: Temple (District Line).
